There are tremendous changes occurring in the world and healthcare is no exception. While recent decades have seen astounding advances in medicine, one thing remains the same: there is value in having a primary care physician who knows you well. Although I cannot control or direct much of the change we experience in healthcare, I can offer my patients that close, personal relationship we all want. I have been practicing internal medicine in northern Virginia for over twenty years and in my MDVIP-affiliated practice, I look forward to providing personalized care to my patients for many years to come.
My interests lie particularly in the area of preventive cardiology and geriatrics. I know from personal experience that the risks that lead to heart attacks and strokes can largely be dealt with through exercise, diet and a balanced life. For my older patients, I know that we can work together to make the aging process simpler; less focused on endless rounds of doctor visits and more focused on thriving even while we age. Similar to conveniences often associated with concierge medicine practices, I also offer same- or next-day appointments that start on time. I am excited to have a smaller, more personalized practice, where I will have the time to work with each of my patients to achieve their personal health goals.

My husband has a pre-existing condition that makes a cough seem dangerous. On a flight to Boston, he fainted, then returned home instead of going to his meeting.
